Nice to virtually meet you! Here's what you need to know about me.

I’m a people person. I enjoy working with people to explore what excites them, discover what they are passionate about, and motivate them to move toward what they really want. When we focus on the things we love, it’s energizing and we tend to show up differently. I believe people have more potential than they often give themselves credit for, and I enjoy helping them see that more clearly.

When we’re younger, we tend to dream big and imagine all kinds of possibilities for our lives. Over time, responsibilities, expectations, and life experiences can shift that focus, and those dreams can get pushed aside or forgotten. I enjoy helping people reconnect with what once excited them and finding realistic ways to bring more of that back into their lives.

Personally, I love all kinds of arts and crafts, cooking, boating, fishing, being at the beach, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends. Family is important to me. My son is an engineer and business owner, and I’m incredibly proud of the life he’s building. And my adorable little pup is almost always by my side.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a bit about me. I look forward to learning about you.

Work history.

I bring 35 years business experience including 2 consulting companies of my own, 20 years at Motorola as their Global Leader of Technical Communications, and another 8 years as the Corporate Director of Marketing and Communications for a small family-owned aerospace company.

During that time, I enjoyed many opportunities to coach, mentor, energize, and inspire my colleagues. It’s a real passion for me and I’m thrilled to now be able to focus exclusively on helping others as a career ownership coach.

My education serves as a solid foundation for complex analytical evaluations. My degree is in computer science, programming and systems analysis, and business administration. And while I am very driven by data and facts, I also have an appreciation for the arts, just 2 classes shy of a degree in art!

My background and expertise in running a small business, communications excellence, and certifications as a six-sigma green belt and a quality management systems lead auditor for ISO 9001:2015 provide me with a unique outlook to share with my clients as they consider their career ownership options.

Coaching highlights.

As a Career Ownership Coach, I coach individuals considering the possibility of self-sufficiency. Typically, my Clients are interested in new challenges, frustrated with their current job or career path, unemployed due to downsizing, and/or considering a career transition. I also work with people who want to develop additional sources of income. In the current economic environment, many people are in the midst of, or thinking about, career change. For some, self-sufficiency may be the best alternative.

I specialize in helping my Clients with their education, awareness, and discovery as they explore the possibilities available to them. I create a safe space for them to explore their options and learn about ways to attain their goals, needs, and expectations. Our no cost, no obligation process helps clarify goals and explore possibilities in a safe space.

Amy is an incredibly supportive coach. She focused on listening to me and understanding my situation before offering any specific path. She made it evident that my success was important to her, in whatever form that would end up taking. Amy was honest and direct in her feedback, sometime challenging my thought processes to help me gain perspective. She was consistent, timely, and effective in her communication and ensured our meetings were productive and useful. I grew to trust her advice and found her to be extremely sincere and thoughtful. I highly recommend her services to anyone in need of an experienced and knowledgeable coach.
